What you may not realize is that, over the years, the car’s safety innovations have been instrumental in saving lives. IMPACT was created to showcase the raw, unscripted testimonials of real Mercedes drivers who've experienced life-threatening accidents — and lived to tell their stories.

Family photos, accident reports and outtakes — helped bring these stories to life. And through our site, Mercedes-Benz received hundreds of similar, user-generated stories along the lines of, "I am alive today because of a 1975 Mercedes 300 D."
